2015 Summer Interns

Q: Why did you decide to intern with CRLA?
A: I decided to intern for CRLA because I wanted to learn more about non-profit work and help migrant and farmworkers. My grandparents were migrant farmworkers and part of my family still works in agriculture, so I feel a personal connection to the work.

Q: What are projects are you working on this summer with CRLA?
A: This summer I have been in the migrant unit. Allowing me to work closely with the farmworker community. I been able to interview clients and give them information, go to hearings at the Labor Commissioner’s office, attend settlement and depositions, and of course a lot of research and legal writing.

Q: What are some of your other non-legal interest?
A: Food. Vietnamese to Hawaiian and all the food in between. I love it all! And reality TV and finding a good concert.
