Community Worker - CEI (Hybrid)

Salinas
The CEI Community Worker will be partnered with the local CEI Staff Attorney to develop and implement creative advocacy strategies to address community-identified environmental justice issues in the Central Coast, particularly in DUCs and particularly around water issues. Primary responsibilities include conducting community outreach and education, community leadership development, and developing and implementing advocacy strategies to improve infrastructure, services, and investment in 5-6 communities.

Legal Secretary - Tenant Justice Project (Hybrid)

Stockton
The Legal Secretary (LS) manages all communications, correspondence, typing simple legal documents, filing, travel, calendar, and general organizational matters within the local office. Also responsible for managing legal expenditures, minimal coordination of litigation with outside counsel, maintaining/organizing records of litigated and transaction matters, and vendor, supplier, and other office contracts. Funding for this position is through 12/27/2024, with the expectation that continued funding will be awarded.

Directing Attorney - Southern Central Coast (Hybrid)

San Luis Obispo
The Directing Attorney is a unique leadership opportunity for an attorney committed to community-centered advocacy to lead a team providing services to marginalized rural communities. CRLA serves rural Californians in the Southern Central Coast via field offices located in San Luis Obispo and Santa Maria. The Directing Attorney is responsible for developing CRLAs advocacy vision and tone in the Southern Central Coast region and leading their team of Staff Attorneys, Community Workers, and legal support team members in delivering high-quality legal services commensurate with that vision. The Directing Attorney has substantive command of at least one of CRLA's Priority Advocacy areas and is responsible for maintaining their caseload in addition to their leadership role.

Staff Attorney - Rural Justice Unit (Remote)

Reporting to the Directing Attorney, the Staff Attorney provides comprehensive legal services to eligible clients in CRLA priority areas in accordance with CRLA program guidelines, the ABA Standards for Providers of Civil Legal Services, and the Code of Professional Responsibility.

Staff Attorney - LGBTQ+ (Hybrid)

Fresno, Stockton, Modesto, Salinas, Salinas, and Watsonville
The LGBTQ+ Program Staff Attorney will help increase access to justice for low-income lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender, and queer (LGBTQ+) people in rural California, including LGBTQ+ agricultural workers and immigrants.

Reporting to the Tenant Justice Project Director, the Staff Attorney provides comprehensive legal services to eligible clients in CRLA priority areas in accordance with CRLA program guidelines, the ABA Standards for Providers of Civil Legal Services, and the Code of Professional Responsibility.

Staff Attorney - Rural Justice Unit (Hybrid)

Watsonville
Reporting to the Directing Attorney, the Staff Attorney provides comprehensive legal services to eligible clients in CRLA priority areas in accordance with CRLA program guidelines, the ABA Standards for Providers of Civil Legal Services, and the Code of Professional Responsibility.

Staff Attorney - Central Coast Homeless Prevention Collaborative (Hybrid)

San Luis Obispo
Reporting to the Project Managing Attorney, the Staff Attorney provides comprehensive legal services to eligible clients in CRLA priority areas in accordance with CRLA program guidelines, the ABA Standards for Providers of Civil Legal Services, and the Code of Professional Responsibility.
