Fair Housing and Foreclosure Prevention in Rural California
CRLA provides services statewide to assist residents impacted by housing discrimination or foreclosure.
Our work helps to ensure that our communities are doing all they can to affirmatively further fair housing.
With respect to foreclosure prevention, CRLA:
- provides education to first-time home buyers and existing homeowners.
- helps low-income rural Californians save their homes from foreclosure.
- investigates allegations of discriminatory or predatory lending and foreclosure practices.
- works collaboratively with District Attorneys’ Offices to prosecute scammers targeting CRLA’s clients and client communities.
Our Fair Housing and Foreclosure Prevention advocacy can have a lasting and multi-generational impact in the lives of CRLA’s clients.
Through the delivery of housing education, community outreach, and legal representation, we reach thousands of clients to ensure that housing practices in rural California are fair, accessible, and affordable.
