Environmental Justice Law Fellow (CEI Program) - Modesto/Fresno

Modesto and Fresno
The CEI Fellow will work with the Legal Program Director and staff to develop and implement creative advocacy strategies to address community-identified environmental justice issues in the San Joaquin Valley, particularly in DUCs. Primary responsibilities include legal advocacy/litigation support, factual research, community outreach, education, community leadership development, and analysis of pending policies.

Staff Attorney (MLP) - Salinas, CA

CRLA’s Monterey County Medical-Legal Partnership seeks a staff attorney to promote rural health equity through direct legal services, community partnership, and legal education. The foundation of health begins in homes, schools, workplaces, and neighborhoods. Integrating legal services with the healthcare system can be a means to disrupt a cycle of returning people to the unhealthy conditions that would otherwise bring them right back to the clinic or hospital. CRLA’s Monterey County Medical-Legal Partnership (MLP) addresses the health-harming legal needs of patients at the Monterey County Health Department Clinics, which provide healthcare to a largely farmworker community regardless of ability to pay.

Directing Attorney - Stockton

Reporting to the Program Director, the CRLA Directing Attorney is responsible for the overall provision of legal services to the low-income client community in the service area and the day-to-day operations of the local field office. This includes supervising, training, and motivating local office staff to provide the highest quality legal services in accordance with CRLA program guidelines, the ABA Standards for Providers of Civil Legal Services, and the Code of Professional Responsibility.

Directing Attorney - Santa Cruz County Area

Watsonville
Reporting to the Regional Director of Advocacy, the Directing Attorney is responsible for the overall provision of legal services to the low-income client community in the service area and the day-to-day operations of the CRLA Watsonville office. This includes supervising, training, and motivating local office staff to provide the highest quality legal services in accordance with CRLA program guidelines, the ABA Standards for Providers of Civil Legal Services, and the Code of Professional Responsibility.

ERAP & Housing Community Worker

Marysville
CRLA is looking for Community Workers (Full-Time, Temporary 6months) for the Marysville, Watsonville, and San Luis Obispo office. Community Workers will perform initial screenings for eligibility, interview to determine the nature of the legal problem/s and to identify the type of legal assistance being sought by the applicants. Community Workers will conduct outreach and community education presentations about the California Emergency Rental Assistance Program (ERAP) and assist low-income tenants with completing their online application for assistance under the ERAP.
